From Friday, July 17th to Friday, July 31st, 2026, Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore “TONKACHI BOOKS presents ── M.B. GOFFSTEIN POPUP SHOP" will be held.
We will introduce the world of stories drawn by American picture book author M. B. Goffstein along with Tonkachi Books' picture books, T-shirts, framed works, and miscellaneous goods.
This time, we have all of Goffstein's books published by Tonkachi Books, including box sets, framed works, mugs, T-shirts, and more, with a focus on ``Fish Food,'' ``Me and My Captain,'' and ``On the Other Side of the Sea,'' which we all want to read this summer.

Writer/Illustrator
Born in 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. When Goffstein was a child, books were so wonderful that he couldn't believe they were made by humans, and thought they were gifts from God. Ever since I learned that books were written by other people, I have wanted to become a writer.
She says the experience of reading a book is the same as the experience of real life. A spiritual and philosophical story, a world of life and fantasy in the form of a children's book. And this simple line that is ``cute and irresistible.'' A heart full of love poured into a flat surface.
