Each of these pieces is based on an original model by Clémentine de Chabaneix and is hand-finished by skilled artisans at a Japanese studio. Because they are handmade, no two are exactly alike. You may notice subtle variations in the depth of the blue, the expression of the wings, and the delicate textures created during the firing process. We hope you will cherish these unique characteristics as the true essence and charm of the artwork.

[About the artist]

Her career began with theater, then studied drawing, painting and sculpture before switching to ceramics. He has arrived at his own unique way of expressing himself, inheriting techniques from his grandmother, Claude Laranne. "Her work is filled with signs of evoking something, like a dream that cannot be recorded, or a memory before birth that cannot be reproduced. It is always close to the fragility of human beings. Clemontine's The work continues to shake up what he sees, reminding him of the joy and fear he felt as a child with no reason."
