``Yona of the Blue Sea'' is a modern redesign of ``Yona the Whale,'' one of Lisa's masterpieces created in the early 1970s.
It is handmade in Lisa's trusted Swedish workshop, inspired by the ideal deep blue sea.
The body of the whale has been consciously left with lines (wave pattern), which are the remnants of hand-made work on a potter's wheel, giving it an organic feel. Yona, who was originally naked (actually, the one inside her stomach is not a whale), was dressed in a striped shirt.
This work is the result of Lisa's strong interest in the various environmental issues that occur in the ocean.
