[About Hasami ware]
Hasami ware is porcelain fired in Higashi Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a traditional pottery with a history of over 400 years. Hasami Town is an area with an environment that is extremely suitable for the ceramic industry, as it has the three essential conditions for the production of pottery: fuel (trees), water (small rivers), and soil (pottery stone).
It is characterized by the deep taste of ``sometsuke'', which is painted with transparent ``white porcelain'' and gosu (blue-indigo pigment).
