[About the product]
Let's run fast!
Introducing the 2026 edition of the Hedgehog Calendar, also known as the "Live Animal Calendar". This year, in addition to the usual small tabletop size, a large wall-mounted type will also be available for the first time. The larger one has a larger surface area, so there are various things drawn on it. I'm sure you'll have fun purchasing both.
This year's theme is "Run!", but these characters don't look like they're in a hurry at all, they just look like they're playing. Well, I made it with the feeling that they should just take it slow and hurry.
[About the design]
Starting from Shinjuku, the goal is Tokyo Station. I drew an imaginary marathon that I thought would follow the Tokyo Marathon course, but would deviate from it over the course of a year. First of all, after finishing the large wall-hanging size picture that first appeared, I am redrawing it to the usual small tabletop size. I later realized that this was a marathon and needed an audience, so I hurriedly added more. The highlight this time is the audience.
【Foreword]
Hey everyone, the Hedgehog Calendar, also known as the "Live Animal Calendar", is finally available in a larger size. We've been doing this for so long that I've forgotten how many years we've been doing it, with the theme of "Life is a festival, let's live together," but this is our first expansion of items.
We still have the usual desk calendar that comes in a small floppy disk (get it?) case, but since the drawing area is different from that one, we have brought it to you in an enlarged version that all the artists have worked hard to create.
If you buy both, you'll be happy to use them at home or at work.
Furthermore, based on this performance, we may be able to expand the ``Ikimono Series'' from next year, so we look forward to your continued support.
This calendar has one thing you won't have seen before.
The legendary toy camera "Ikimono Camera", which is the source of this calendar, appears everywhere. Recently, I've heard rumors that analog cameras are once again attracting attention, but the ``Ikimono Series'' was once synonymous with toy cameras that were all the rage, and was an incredibly low-tech camera that was ranked in the Guinness Book of Records.
It would be fun to think about all of them.
This year's theme is "Run". There's a song that says, "Hurry even more slowly," and I'll deliver it with that feeling in mind.
