Pele was the Pele (Pelle) of Lisa's original work, "Larson's Children's Series," made from 1964 to 1980. The "tiger" decoration is of course made based on the prototype of Lisa. This work was also made with the creative Kokeshi studio in Gunma Prefecture, which has been working on a number of lisa kokeshi.
