Lisa LarsonThis is a Hasami-yaki chopstick rest designed based on the Chinese zodiac. Please use it not only for New Year's Day and celebrations, but also for your daily dining table. It is handmade in the same Hasami ware workshop as Kokoro Shizuka no Uma.
A perfect harmony of two freedoms
“Kokoro Shizuka no Go” is “you” and “me”. It symbolizes the "connection" and "harmony" of our world, where we are not alone and cannot be alone. The auspicious blue horse and the white horse, which is a symbol of the zodiac series. The theme is freedom and perfect harmony between the two.
About white
The Zodiac series has always been drawn in blue on white. The simple colors that Lisa has loved throughout her life reflect her pure heart.
About blue
A special color that Lisa loved. In China, it was believed that if you saw a blue horse on New Year's Day, it would ward off the evil spirits of the year.
The silver painting was chosen with the silver accessories that Lisa liked to wear.

[About Hasami ware]
Hasami ware is porcelain fired in Higashi Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a traditional pottery with a history of over 400 years. Hasami Town is an area with an environment that is extremely suitable for the ceramic industry, as it has the three essential conditions for the production of pottery: fuel (trees), water (small rivers), and soil (pottery stone).
It is characterized by the deep taste of ``sometsuke'', which is painted with transparent ``white porcelain'' and gosu (blue-indigo pigment).

*Each piece of Hasami ware is painted by hand by a craftsman. Therefore, the degree of fading and blurring varies from piece to piece.

*Due to the manufacturing process, there are grooves and grooves on the back side.There may be dents, but this does not affect the quality.
