[About the product]
This is the JIE series Hashimizumi made in early 1990.
In the 1970s, we sold animal pottery in the collaboration between the Waeden NK department store and the WWF (World Nature Protection Fund), but the collaboration was restarted in the 1990s.
There are 14 types sold in the 1990s "JIE Series". It was created on the theme of the leading creatures of Sweden. In addition to the rhizen, there are unusual animals such as giant cats, dogs, otter, beams, spatula, and stag beetles.
[Design]
This work was created as a leading creature of Gotland, the largest island located in southern Sweden. It has a different atmosphere from the current rhizen pottery. It is characterized by a carefully round protrusion on the back that is not found in the current pottery. The color is a gentle brown like orange, but it is a valuable work that gives you a solid feeling unique to the vintage.
