[About Rose]
It was a long time ago that I started drawing roses. There was a wrapping paper in a florist run by my father, and the pink rose pattern was wonderful on a bright yellow paper. I love it, and I drew it as a pottery motif. The roses are also complicated and difficult, so I drew them in various ways and arrived at the simple rose now. (Marianne talk)
[About Marianne's Seto ware collaboration]
Her original work (Marianne itself has finished all the processes, so -called "as it is") is attractive to hand -painted lines, and a little distorted molding and thinness. However, it was also true that I couldn't make a lot at once because of the handmade, and I couldn't deliver it widely to everyone. Therefore, it was the pottery of Seto -yaki, Aichi Prefecture, which continued since the Taisho era, searching for mass production after leaving the original goodness as much as possible.
Under the supervision of Marianne himself, we have reviewed the manufacturing process with Zero, with the Seto -ya Kodo in Japan, so that she can provide affordable prices and durability while leaving her original goodness as much as possible. Marianne trusts Seto -yaki's pottery, and every time she sees a new work, she praised, "I can't say anything." The edge is handwritten by a craftsman and a blue line is applied, and the print part is hand -handed by hand. It is a product that can no longer be said to be mass -produced, hassle, time and love.
[From the staff]
Marianne loves pink. When Rose's product came out, she talked about roses and liked a yellowish pink rose. I also want to decorate a light pink rose. The word "flower power" seems to be somehow magical and I really like it.
