Hasami ware

Hasamiyaki is a traditional pottery with more than 400 years of history burned in Hasami -cho, Nagasaki Prefecture. Hasami -cho is an area with three conditions that are indispensable for the production of the pigments (trees), water (small rivers), and soil (pottery stones). It features a deep taste of "white porcelain" and "dyeing" painted with transparent "white porcelain" and Kureu (blue -colored pigment).

It is light, durable, and suitable for everyday use, so it has been useful as a daily dish used every day, such as bowls, plates, and mugs.

Until the zodiac
As soon as the prototype of Lisa arrives from Sweden, it will be strictly packed into Hasami's workshop and send it. In the studio, the prototype is immediately molded to make a resin sample. Lisa confirms the sample and adds detailed corrections. If the correction OK comes out, create a mold for mass production and start production.

Pour the fabric into the mold and let it dry. After that, take out the mold and bake in a high -temperature pot. Once you get out of the kettle, it's a painting work.

For painting, a method called "copper plate painting" is used. First, engrave the design on the copper board. It is the work of digging fine lines and patterns on a copper plate, just like making a stamp. After that, apply the ink firmly to this carved part.

Next, press the Japanese paper to the ink plate and transfer the ink. ("Transcription sheet") And this time, this transfer sheet is carefully pasted on the surface of unglazed ceramics to copy the pattern in Japanese paper. In the detailed process of applying one part by hand, you can maintain the quality and speed because it is a skilled craftsman.

Finally, by baking the ceramics in the kiln, the pattern is firmly baked into the porcelain, and a delicate pattern emerges. Depending on how you paint ink and how to apply Japanese paper, there are slight differences for each work.

From Tonkachi to everyone

We ran for 12 years with Lisa while connecting animals.
