"ACROSS THE SEA" is a phantom work that is considered a masterpiece, but has not been published in Japan. We at Tonkachi have called this dreamy masterpiece "Beyond the Sea," and will deliver it to you as the first translation by actress Ishida Yuriko.
The Japanese version will definitely be translated by Ishida Yuriko! I had been thinking this from the beginning, but that feeling came through miracle. This was Ishida's first translation. She completed a truly dignified translation, and gave it to us with a very pure and pure hand.

"Miracle Letters" are truly miraculous. There was a letter in the original book, "ACROSS THE SEA," which we purchased in the United States. I thought it might be a receipt or something from the book owner, so the letter remained the same for several years, but when I decided to publish the book, I left it at the printing company, and the letter fell out of it in a silly manner. When I opened it, it was a letter Goffstein's mother sent in 1968. Is this a miracle? ! God's revelation? ! We were so excited that we decided that this was the only perk! I'm sure we'll deliver miracles to you too!
[About design]
This is a luxurious box set following the box set for "Those Kids!" It was designed with the image of the blue of the sea. The box table features a bird of freedom that crosses the sea, and behind the box is a Sophie of Hope, looking up at the sun. Freedom and hope. That's the only thing, right?

It was a fun and difficult book creation. It was a book that I was worried about. First of all, you'll definitely make a box set! That's what I had decided from the beginning to publish Goffstein's book. The reason is, it's fun! Because I want it! That's simple and straightforward. [About the author]
M.B. Goffstein was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA in 1940. After graduating from university, he moved to New York and began working as a picture book author. He published his first picture book in 1966. Simple lines, spiritual and philosophical stories have an impact beyond the boundaries of children's books. He has written novels since 1989. In his later years he wrote stories and poetry about nature and heaven. He died on his 77th birthday in 2017.
