Lisa Cat from Japan (No. 4, Mashiko)

I am Masuko's Lisa cat. His name is "Awaseyuu."

The stray cat "Nippon Lisa Cat" travels around the country, number 2 to 4 are three types of tachi cats made from Mashiko.

A combination of four traditional glazes. In addition to the black glaze and candy glaze, we have mixed four colors: celadon glaze, which has a cute, dull blue color, and chubby white glaze.

The three types of tabby cats, number 2 to 4, are cheerful and lively stray cats with a different charm than the best cat (this child has no name!).

Lisa's cat made in Japan

Lisa loved Japanese pottery, huge, huge!
Lisa loved Japanese pottery so much that no matter how many, big, big, big, big, big, big, no matter how many. That's why I wanted to create Lisa's works at potterys all over Japan, which was something that had been around since the beginning when I started working with her. At first, it's a dream story that appears as usual at the end of the conversation. Time passes, and it's not a dream, it's a plan you absolutely want to make.

You can find detailed information on the Lisa Cat special website.

There are no cats of the same color as "Awaseyu," but they resemble the "Tobi-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-Cari-C

Each piece is painted by a Mashiko craftsman, so there are individual differences in the size and shape of the pattern. Enjoy the uneven spots as your child's individuality. By disintegrating the size of the twill, we have created a natural design that is similar to that of an actual cat. In addition, penetration may occur, but please enjoy it as a natural texture of pottery.

These three cats were created by the idea of a buchi cat that came from the Mashiko ware production team when they were making Japan's Lisa Cat (Ichiban, Mashiko). We made prototypes in a variety of patterns, from the size of the balls to the socks pattern to the color of the tail, and ended up creating three stray cats. These cats are different from the best cats, and can enjoy tradition and personality.

It is 13.5cm long and 8cm tall, and looks like this when placed on the palm of your hand. It's a free cat that casually appears on a desk or shelf, and looks like a real stray cat.

From the staff
This is the 4-color cat that is the most greedy of the three cats in the second installment. Although they are color combinations that do not exist, they also feel like they are evolutionary calico cats. The celadon color glaze has a refreshing color combination. All of the kids are cute, so I would love to welcome them together! (Staff M)

The first edition of Lisa Cat has received a lot of responses, so I would be happy if many people would like to love the second edition of Cats from No. 2 to No. 4. Lisa Neko travels around the country, and is also working on new works in new places! stay tuned! (Production S)

Mashiko ware andLisa Larson

In the first place, this project would not have been born without my encounter with Mashiko ware. One day in the 1950s, Lisa visited Japan and met Hamada Shoji, a living national treasure who spread Mashiko yakitori, and learned about Japanese pottery. Since then, Lisa has been very interested in Japanese culture, and we have been working on a variety of products at Mashiko from an early age.

Nippon Hedgehog is a blend of Mashiko-style flat plates and teacups, which have become a standard, as well as Mashiko and Swedish styles. ', such as 'Nippon'Lisa Larson"We've created this together. This led us to ask for the most important top runners and the second installment of "Nippon's Lisa Cat."

Mashiko ware items are introduced on the Mashiko ware special website, "Lisa Loved Mashiko ware."

Mashiko ware

Pottery produced around Mashiko Town, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture. Mashiko is said to be the mecca of modern ceramics. In 1924, Hamada Shoji settled and built a pottery kiln, attracting attention not only in Japan but also in the world of ceramics. Since stone powder and old iron powder are glazed and colored with a dog hair brush, it has a heavy color and a subtle feel to the touch.
