The picture book is currently out of print, but a new translation and new version will be published from Tonkachi.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA in 1940. After graduating from college, he moved to New York and started working as a picture book writer. She published her first picture book in 1966. A simple line, a spiritual and philosophical story affects the children's book frame. Written a novel since 1989. In his later years, he wrote stories and poems about nature and heaven. He died on his 77th birthday in 2017.
