This is an introduction of a BOX set limited to 300 copies.
"Goldie The Dollmaker" is one of her masterpieces, published in 1969 as the fifth work of Goffstein following "Across The Sea". In the tonkachi, it is an English version of Goffstein following "Brookie and Her Lamb". Goffstein English is a simple minimum word, trying to express it deep into the human heart. The fun of reading in the original English is exceptional (I am not good at English, but I can still enjoy it). The Japanese version is published by the modern planning room as the translation of Chieko Suemori, so if you are interested, please see it.
In this English version of the tonkachi, instead of reprinting the original English version of "Goldie The Dollmaker", the picture has been replaced with a newly discovered colored front line drawing, renewed the overall design, and is completely new. I made an English version. In addition, a separate volume of the Japanese original project was made and it was a set of two books. The content of the separate volume is an illustration collection that cuts out only the outline of the story in Japanese and the props that appear in the story. I think you can enjoy the charm of Goffstein's painting from another angle.
Here is a BOX set that adds a bonus (stuffed animal and linen bag) to the regular version product. We also have a regular version (an English version and a set of two books) that is easy to purchase.

[About design]
Speaking of Tonkachi's Goffstein series, it is a BOX set! In a cross -pasted BOX that Kyushu's box craftsman carefully finished, the Goldy faces his work with foil stamping. In the story, Goldy was particular about the box to put the doll. I wanted to put the same feeling as her in this BOX set.

Goldie The Toolbox (Goldy in Tool Box)
I made a separate volume with Japanese original content. I imagine a DVD bonus video and a CD bonus track. The content is an outline of the story in Japanese, and an illustration collection like a props picture book that collects props in the story. This picture book adopted the idea of a rookie staff, and when I cut out the props in the picture book, it was very cute and everyone was very excited and became this book. I would be happy if I could share this frustrating feeling.
[BOX Set Benefits ①: Stuffed animal Goldy]
I made a stuffed animal for a BOX set. It is based on a doll that was released in the United States at the time of publishing, but the doll in the bag was changed to a wood carved doll. The doll is made in the middle of production, imagining the goldy that was carrying the dolls. Wood carved dolls are handmade, so each one is different and there is no same thing. This wood carving doll is one of the things that I really wanted to do this time.
[BOX Set Benefits ②: Linen Goldy (Tote Bag)]
It is a one -strap tote bag with the same one -strap as the goldy doll. I made it in Okayama prefecture. It is designed with illustrations that are not used in the text.

We make a BOX set every time you put out a Goffstein book. It can be said that Goffstein is a BOX set in us. After all, the fabric BOX has a treasure feeling and is wonderful. The stuffed animal and wood carving dolls really took a long time to realize. However, if you think that the BOX set that has finally been realized will reach you, it will be exciting this time. I don't think there is a picture book writer who has this BOX set, so I have to continue working hard! I have renewed my determination!
