Leicester's career began in college when he applied for a project to recruit album reviews from readers of the magazine Rolling Stone. His wild language and extremely sharp writing, which he developed on his own, attracted popularity and established himself in a niche position with Rolling Stone. He continued writing for Rolling Stone until 1973 when he was fired for "injuring the musician."
Later, the magazine "Creem" contributed, and the noisy and radical criticism never stopped.One day, during a concert by the American rock band J. Geils Band, they went on stage with a typewriter in hand, and while being watched by the audience, they performed with criticism, slamming the keys in the rhythm. FHe contributes to a variety of publications, including usion, Playboy, Penthouse, New Musical Express, Phonograph Record Magazine, and Village Voice.In 1982, he ended his life at the young age of 33 due to an overdose of drugs.
