[About this book]
"Pierce through with words, whether it's real or misleading" - the first Japanese translation of the anthology (collection of works) by legendary rock critic Lester Bangs! A torrent of words left behind by running through the 1970s, when rock was the most brilliant. Greel Marcus, a big name in the music criticism world, carefully selected a huge selection of record reviews, articles, and unpublished manuscripts. This brings back the literature to life, and the literature to life to life to life to life.

[Bonus]
Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dang by Leicester BangsOnline Benefit Mix CD

Just as the preparations for this book were approaching the final stages, our Tonkachi was approaching the final stages of opening a pre-moving project, "BAR_Nannooto?". The two overlapped, making this mixed CD possible. The creator was Fujimoto Yuichiro, who has supported our music department since his days as a power shovel (he is the legendary director of PowerShovel Audio and has released his own musical works). I decided to do a bar and asked him to do a mix CD for this bar, and then I asked him to make another one on the theme of Velvets, which Leicester had been concerned about for his lifetimes, because Leicester would be released. He listened to Velvets, of course, and then eventually created a fictional Velvets that live in the present. I don't know if Leicester would start to get angry, laugh, or clapping his hands to make you happy, but I shouldn't be able to ignore him.

*This is a bonus CD-R (not for sale) that is included only at Tonkachi Store.
*This bonus will end without notice as soon as it runs out.

Leicester's career began in college when he applied for a project to recruit album reviews from readers of the magazine Rolling Stone. His wild language and extremely sharp writing, which he developed on his own, attracted popularity and established himself in a niche position with Rolling Stone. He continued writing for Rolling Stone until 1973 when he was fired for "injuring the musician."

Later, the magazine "Creem" contributed, and the noisy and radical criticism never stopped. One day, during a concert by the American rock band J. Geils Band, they went on stage with a typewriter in hand, and while being watched by the audience, they performed with criticism, slamming the keys in the rhythm. FHe contributes to a variety of publications, including usion, Playboy, Penthouse, New Musical Express, Phonograph Record Magazine, and Village Voice. In 1982, he ended his life at the young age of 33 due to an overdose of drugs.

In 2000, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman was in the film "Around the Times of Penny Lane."Leicester BangsHe played the role.
