We asked Tonkachi artists about their Christmas memories.

Last Christmas I worked with his son. Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik asked me to create classic tableware decorations. They wanted simple tableware, so we started by looking through a pile of sketches of tableware ideas to find something that would fit the bill. My son Andreas stayed at my house for Christmas and tested out different striped patterns. He drew the stripes on the computer, printed them on film, and I made small changes. We probably tested 50 different variations over the Christmas and New Year holidays. We worked together and in between we ate Christmas food and watched TV.

As I always say, I don't like Christmas. Of course, childhood memories are different. I've mentioned this before, but I have many fond memories of my grandmother, mother, and aunts. We spend days cooking together and eat together on Christmas. The era before television. There were always a lot of people there. Now we are not a big family and we all live apart. There are good and bad things in every era. Things are different and there are many good things. So for me, Christmas is not important.

I hope you have a merry Christmas!

My favorite Christmas memory was when my girlfriend's mother brought her puppy, Buffy. I went back to Sweden for Christmas and gave Buffy a little Christmas sweater. But she seemed a little too small for her. She put up with it for about 30 minutes and it was cute, but since then she has grown to hate sweaters and won't wear them anymore.

Christmas has always been a magical time for me and my sister. On Christmas morning, we woke up really early and rushed down the stairs to see if Santa's presents had arrived. The presents were piled up in two piles, one for me and one for my sister.

One year, we were disappointed in a present. I pretended to be very grateful, but I was devastated that I didn't get much. After opening the presents, my dad asked me to go outside, so we went to the garage and opened the door. There I found a very large object wrapped in Christmas paper. We were shocked and hurriedly tore off the paper. That year, we got a quad bike! We enjoyed that bike for years and years after that. I invited my friends and ran around fields and puddles at breakneck speed!

Twenty years ago, her grandmother passed away one week before Christmas. Her grandmother had been ill for several months and was very sad. A few days before her death, her grandmother gave my mother instructions for her funeral and Christmas preparations. And I gave her money to buy presents for each of her grandchildren. I bought a lizard. He is a leopard gecko and still lives with me. She followed me wherever I moved, and now my children are happily taking care of her as well. She's a small female named Vivaldi.
